On paper, I’m Sara; sometimes Sara Taylor, sometimes Seraphina, and often by my full name, Sara Taylor Mermelstein.

I hail from the lush pastures of Central New Jersey (I kid, I kid), and I graduated from NYU Tisch with a BFA in Film & Television, where I focused on writing, directing, producing and editing.

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, and love to experiment and try everything I possibly can. I’m a proud wearer of many hats! As such, I’ve crossed within many sectors and types of work — from administrative and support roles to leadership and creative, and in all facets and stages of production. Whether poring over a script in its initial phase or putting the finishing touches on a final cut, I love being a part of a work in any way I can (though you’ll typically find me producing, coordinating, writing or editing in some form!).

I believe art, no matter its vehicle, is a way for us to ask questions about ourselves and the world we live in, and I hope to continue to be a part of projects that do just that.

Off paper (do people say that? 😅), I'm passionate about animals (especially dogs - I volunteer at a senior dog sanctuary in my spare time!), video games, poetry, languages, and more — and I am always in pursuit of the next big thing.
